Seymour Library in Auburn is now offering sensory kits in its Family Space thanks to a recent grant.
Auburn's Seymour Library is making reading and learning even more accessible and enjoyable for children with the introduction of sensory kits in its Family Space. These kits, made possible by a recent grant, are designed to engage children's senses and provide a calming and stimulating experience, particularly beneficial for those with sensory processing differences, autism, or other special needs.
The sensory kits are thoughtfully curated collections of items intended to stimulate various senses, such as touch, sight, and sound. Library staff carefully selected items that are both engaging and safe, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for young users.
