'I was the only one to survive after my family was murdered by a brutal killer'

Terry Jo Duperrault had been on a sailing trip with her family when something horrendous happened

Terry Jo Duperrault, then just 11 years old, embarked on what she thought would be a dream vacation, a family sailing trip through the azure waters of the Caribbean. Little did she know, the trip would transform into a nightmare, leaving her the sole survivor of a brutal massacre that claimed the lives of her father, mother, brother, and sister. The harrowing tale of Terry Jo, later known as Tere Duperrault Fassbender, remains a chilling reminder of unimaginable tragedy and extraordinary resilience.

After the murders, Harvey scuttled the "Bluebelle," intending to make it look like an accident. He told Terry Jo that the ship was sinking and gave her a line attached to a small cork raft before abandoning her to her fate.

Alone and adrift in the vast ocean, Terry Jo spent four agonizing days clinging to the raft. Dehydrated, sunburned, and terrified, she battled the elements and her own despair. Sharks circled, and the relentless sun beat down upon her. Against all odds, she was spotted by a Greek freighter, the "Captain Theo," and miraculously rescued.

The rescue of Terry Jo led to the unraveling of Harvey's sinister plot. He was initially rescued as well, claiming the "Bluebelle" had been lost in a storm. But upon learning of Terry Jo's survival and her account of the events, he took his own
