Gardens are a testament to hard work and dedication. Last week, a resident was proud to harvest around two dozen large, juicy plums from one of the two plum trees in their small garden. Sadly the other tree produced no fruit this year. Their crop of blackberries was pathetic, small and unimpressive fruit whereas last year they had more than they could cope with.

Despite not considering themselves much of a gardener and humorously admitting their inability to keep even house plants alive, the resident expressed deep admiration for those who possess green thumbs and cultivate flourishing gardens. They highlighted the importance of allotments, recognizing them as valuable resources within the community.
